About ME

Hi, my name is Kenny Duecker (he/him) and I’m a Scenic Designer and collaborator from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, but now I’m based in New York City. I just graduated from NYU Tisch School of the Arts (BFA ‘21) where I majored in Scenic Design with a minor in Urban Design and Architectural Studies. I’ve worked as an assistant and associate for productions around the country.

A large part of what I love about design is how spaces can tell stories. Though my experience is primarily in theatre, I’m really interested in how to apply the same logic to different avenues like film/tv, interior design, exhibition design, event design, and any other space that evokes emotion.

Most recently, I worked as the production designer for a virtual show called Forgive Us, You're Dying with Joshua William Gelb. I also worked as the associate for a postponed production of Calendar Girls in Naples, Florida. In the future, I will be designing a production of Xanadu and assisting on Boeing, Boeing and A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder - also in Naples, Florida.

Thanks for getting to know me - I’d love to get to know you!
